A study of cymatics, observable and visible sound and vibration in fluid mediums.
The goal of this experiement was to visualize sound by observing patterned wave formations on the surface of a fluid. A funciton generator creates continuous waveforms at a constant frequency output. An oscilloscope is implemented to monitor the waveforms. Various fluids were tested such as water, acohol, petroluem distillates and walnut oil to observe how varying viscocities might affect wave propagation through the mediums.
